Retailer listings round the height a little differently. The 72 13/16 inch figure comes from the LG manual and installation drawing, so use it for planning.
What steam refreshing does and does not do
LG’s TrueSteam system fills the cabinet with steam while the moving hanger shakes up to three garments. LG says the steam relaxes fibers, loosens light wrinkles and removes odors. The Pants Crease Care compartment in the door holds one pair of pants flat. LG says it keeps the leg crease sharp while it reduces wrinkles elsewhere. Results depend on the fabric and the cycle you choose, and LG’s own manual says performance varies by fabric type.
It works like a hand steamer that runs without you. You hang the items, pick a cycle, and come back later.
Refresh, Sanitary and Gentle Dry cycles
The S3WFBN has three cycle families. Cycle times come from the Masters listing.
Refresh runs 20 minutes on Light, 48 on Normal and 67 on Heavy. This is the everyday cycle for a jacket you wore to dinner or a sweater that picked up restaurant smell.
Sanitary runs 88 minutes on Normal and 103 on Heavy. LG says it uses more steam to sanitize. Do not assume every item can take it. The garment care label and LG’s fabric guide decide what goes in and which cycle to use. Heat-sensitive items and anything water can damage should stay out. The Masters listing shows fabric programs for cotton, wool, silk, denim and several others, and the manual warns that a wrong cycle can shrink or damage clothing.
Gentle Dry runs 120 minutes on Normal, 150 on Delicates, and 30 to 150 on Time Dry. It uses LG’s inverter heat pump to dry at low heat. The manual suggests it for wool sweaters, hand-washable knits and dry-flat items after washing, or for coats that got damp in the rain. It is slow by design and it does not replace a clothes dryer.

Wrinkles and ironing
Set your expectations here before you buy. Steam relaxes light wrinkles. It does not press a crisp finish into a dress shirt. If you want a sharp collar and a flat placket, you still need an iron or a trip to the cleaner.
One verified purchaser, Gregrex, wrote on July 27, 2025 that the Styler “works great on synthetic fabrics. As for the rest you’ll still be using your iron.” That is one owner’s experience with their own wardrobe, not a rule for every fabric. It does match what the machine is built to do, which is refresh, not press.
What it will not do
The Styler has no washing function. LG’s manual is direct about this: stains and loose dirt on one item can transfer to the others during a cycle. Wash or spot-clean dirty clothes first.
It will not remove stains. It will not press cotton or linen the way an iron does. It handles three hanging items plus one pair of pants at a time, so it works best as a between-washes tool for a few pieces, not a way to process a week of laundry.
Space, installation and upkeep
Will it fit?
Plan around the LG manual’s dimensions: 17 1/2 inches wide, 23 inches deep and 72 13/16 inches tall. With the door open, depth grows to 39 3/4 inches. Measure the ceiling height, the doorways on the delivery path, and the swing room in front of where it will stand.
It weighs 183 pounds. Have Masters place it, or line up two people. This is not a one-person move.
The manual also calls for clearance on the sides and back, and it requires ventilation openings if you put the Styler inside a closet with a door. A tight, sealed closet is not an option. Follow the installation diagrams in the manual for exact spacing. The door is reversible, so you can choose which way it swings, and the removable shelf gives you a flat spot for knits that should not hang.
The box includes two hangers, a pants hanger, a shelf, a drip tray and an anti-tip kit. Install the anti-tip kit. A six-foot cabinet that opens from the front should be anchored.
No plumbing required
The S3WFBN does not connect to a water line or a drain. It has two tanks in the base. You fill the supply tank with clean tap or bottled water before a cycle, and you empty the drain tank before each use. The manual says a full supply tank lasts about four cycles, depending on which cycles you run. Do not use distilled water, and do not pour the drain water back into the supply tank. LG says both hurt performance and product life.
